J&K: Terrorism in Doda eliminated, no terrorists left, Top Hizbul Mujahideen commander killed
The Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir has been liberated after the killing of Hizbul Majahidin terrorist Masood in an encounter in South Kashmir. The police informed it on Monday. In Anantnag district, three terrorists were killed in a joint operation by police and army. These include two Lashkar terrorists. One of them was the district commander. One of the slain terrorists was from Hizbul Mujahideen. His name was Masood.
Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbagh Singh said, The Doda district has now become completely terrorism-free after masood was killed as the last active terrorist.
Police said Masood was involved in a rape case and was absconding. He later took over the Hizbul and made Kashmir his area of operation. An AK-47 rifle and two pistols were recovered from the Usre pass.
