Protests begin against China's move, Indian media bodies raise these demands

The country's media bodies like the Indian Newspaper Society and the Digital News Publishers Association have demanded the government to ban Chinese websites in the country as well. In addition, he has also suggested that the agreement and investment made by China in Indian companies should also be scrapped.

In a letter to the government, the president of the Indian Newspaper Society, Shalesh Gupta said that the Chinese government's decision to ban the use of Indian newspapers and media websites is unfair. However, China has now used a firewall through advance technology, which can no longer reach these sites through virtual private networks.

At this time, we should treat India's security, sovereignty as a top priority, says Pawan Agarwal, chairman of the Digital News Publishers Association.  It may be recalled that on the next day of the ban on 59 Chinese apps by the Government of India, China has banned the use of Indian newspapers and websites in its country, while China's websites are being accessed in India.
