BULBUL Movie review :A powerfull feminist and revisionist talent

A dark, blood-soaked, free-floating feminist fable. It is a powerfully feminist, revisionist tale of a woman wronged,
The movie is easily foreseeable from the very beginning although it will get you hooked within the initial few minutes. Personally I felt there could be more of horror elements in the movie but overall it kept me hooked till the end.

Tripti Dimri is brilliant, her act is the one to look out for. Paoli Dam is Wonderful as Binodini. Avinash Tiwari is Another Revelation in this Film..Rahul Bose is also great. Parambrata Chattopadhyay is Phenomenal.

Anvita Dutt's writing and Direction are spot on. The background music and the visual details are very haunting. Bulbbul isn't the sort of spine-chilling film that will spook you out of your mind but it is engaging enough not to ever let you off the hook.

The only question that will come in mind is , What is the real horror — a witch who swings from trees and has misshapen feet or the unimaginable torture that so many women and girls go through at the hands of men?
